We had such a lovely evening at the Bert & May supper club back in April. the food, by Kylee Newton of Newton & Pott, was out of this world (as were the cocktails!) and it was all set in one of our favourite spaces - the Bert & May showroom in Hackney. Set in an old warehouse along the Regents canal it is a treat for any design enthusiast. See below for some photos of the event, more info on Newton & Pott and our top picks form the Bert & May collection...
BERT & MAY
What started off as a reclaimed tile business by Lee Thornley back in 2008, the business has grown, not only into producing the striking, contemporary encaustic tiles they are know for but, but fabrics, brassware, paints and kitchens as well. All small lines, focusing on quality rather than quantity. All effortlessly cool. Their products are shown off perfectly in their canal side east London showroom. Well worth a visit if you are looking to do up your home or just want to browse for inspiration.
NEWTON & POTT - THE MODERN PRESERVER
“Newton & Pott are homemade Chutneys, Jams & Preserves made in a London based kitchen in Hackney. All our ingredients are fresh and natural and we take pride in practising the artisan methods of yesteryear, just like Grandma used to do but combining interesting and creative flavours, sometimes with an exotic twist. “
