We get a lot of clients come to us ahead of starting their projects who just don't know where to begin. From knowing the best layout, to choosing the right colours to sourcing products, there are many aspects involved in bringing an interior design scheme together. For people taking on their first project all of that can seem very daunting, which is why we are here to help! When we started Owl Design we wanted to make interior design accessible for everyone and that’s how we came up with our ‘Flying Start’ package. We offer this package alongside our normal interior design service to people who want to be in control but are either too busy to spend hours trawling through the internet or shops finding the perfect pieces of furniture and finishes, or those who have a tight budget but want the knowledge of an interior designer to guide them in the right direction. Our Flying start package is also perfect for developers or those in the B&B and holiday let businesses who want to quickly design their show home or B&B/ Hotel/ holiday let to make them stand out from the crowd and attract new business without eating into their profits. Not only does our Flying Start interior design package give you a cost-effective way of appointing an experienced, professional interior designer to help you design your project. This service is also helpful to establish priorities for large long-term projects. We provide clients with ideas and inspiration: colours, fabrics, paints, wallpaper, furniture, flooring, lighting and accessories. You’ll get an individual design board, so that you can totally visualise the design scheme.

What the Flying Start Package Includes:


  • Phone / email consultation

  • A custom-made mood board, which will include the following: colour scheme recommendations, wall finishes, lighting choices, window treatments, furniture and accessories.

  • A shopping list (you have the option of up to 3 substitutions for 3 items included in the price)

  • A floor plan

  • Material samples

  • A digital & physical package

How does it work?

Stage 1 We arrange a convenient time to discuss your aspirations for your home, how you use the space, your likes and dislikes and budget. Any floor plans and photos of the space you can email over are really helpful. Along with furniture you are planning on keeping, if any.



Stage 2 ​ Either you measure the space and send us the dimensions, or we come over and carry out a site survey* so we can draft up the plans for your home. Once we’ve drawn up the plans, we get to work on creating an amazing space tailored to your needs and wants. We source furniture, accessories, lighting and finishes which are within your budget and time frame. We gather wallpaper, flooring and fabric samples too which help you envisage your space.



Stage 3 We send you your mood board via email along with a shopping list with links for the items we’ve hand-picked. We also send out a hard copy along with your samples. You then have the option to swap out three of the items if you aren’t entirely happy which is included in the price.


​Stage 4 You will now be ready to purchase any items you choose from your list to create your dream interior!
