5 WAYS TO UP YOUR OUTDOOR DINING GAME

Easter 2021 is going to be so much more than chocolate eggs and the kids off school. In fact, this year it will actually mirror its truest meaning – rebirth and recovery. As the nation starts to open up, this will be the first time we can gather together (as long as it's outside, two households, and up to 6 people) with friends or family that we may not have seen for an entire year.

If there was ever a time to splash out a little and spend a bit of extra time decorating your outside Easter feasting table, then this is it. Here are some of the best celebration-worthy settings we've found, to help inspire your perfect spring table!

1. LINENS

Relaxed linens are perfect to make an outdoor dining experience more of an occasion, without being too formal. The more you can ‘mix and match’ the colours and styles of your table cloth with the napkins, the better!

2. RATTAN

There is something about rattan that always reminds us of Spring. Maybe it’s the classic easter baskets! Incorporate it by using rattan placemats or woven rattan baskets for your bread. This natural woven material adds warmth and depth to any table setting.

3. LIGHTING

If dining by night, dig out all of your Grandmother's glass candles sticks - ideally in a variety of colours, styles and sizes. There is something about everything mis-matching that is relaxing, and the last thing we want after not seeing each other for months and months is to feel we have to be on our best behaviour!

Put a spring in your table's step with colourful glassware and crockery, in unusual shapes and colours. Mix and match to your hearts desire!

5. FLOWERS

Pick a posy of flowers from your garden (if you are lucky enough to have one) that you planted in Lockdown #1, or ask your favourite local Florist to put together a "wild flowers" bouquet, for a freshly picked spring table. Garden overgrown? Why not make a posy for your neighbour and spread some much needed joy.
